Spring Fling – Notice to WAA Vendors

Help us celebrate the arrival of a long-awaited spring season in the gardens at our annual “Spring Fling”! This popular event features music, food, area artists and craftsman.

Every year, our list of talented participating artists and vendors grows and this year will be no exception. The gardens will be loaded with talented people displaying, demonstrating and selling their unique arts and crafts.

So come on out and see the gardens in full bloom and bring your camera for a special family photo or two!



As we grow and expand this popular event every year, we’re always looking for new and talented artists and craftsmen to come join in on the celebration and display/sell your goods to the public. This event is FREE (YES, FREE!) to all vendors. We are opening the gates at 9am for vendor set up and allowing to 5pm for vendor break down. Autumn News

Stage West Theatre on Vickery Blvd will be displaying the artworks of Jane Smith and Linda Whitehouse from November 11 through December 18, 2016  Pamela Steege will her art displayed there from March 9 through April 9, 2017.

Carolyn Bernard Young and Sherri Woodard Coffey had a Holiday Open House at Earth to Art Pottery on November 19th. Lots of wonderful pottery there

November Demo at the November meeting on Monday 11-28-16 will be presented by Katherine Gordon Rice using pastels.

December 3rd bring Christmas on the Square to Weatherford and Weatherford Art Association will be participating, tentatively both in the Firehouse Gallery and at a booth on the Square.

There will not be a December meeting of the Weatherford Art Association.  We will be celebrating our 50th anniversary on November 28th, and going in new directions as we move in December, 2016. As well-stated in the November newsletter:

“This year is rapidly coming to a close and a new year is ahead. Weatherford Art Association will be making changes, changes to a new location and just like any move it will take time and work to happen but we are looking forward to our new year and our new location wherever it will be. This amazing, talented group will continue to share their talents with the community at the Doss. Visitors are always welcome.”

The January meeting of the Weatherford Art Association will be held the 4th Monday at the Doss Heritage Center in Weatherford.

Make Your Dream A Reality

Saturday, November 26, 2016. Don’t forget to read our very own Azalee Tatum’s column in the Weatherford Democrat today. In ‘Artistic Awakenings’ on page 4, She talks about this wonderful art association as our 50th celebration comes up.  We will be celebrating this coming Monday, Nov. 28th at the Firehouse Galley at 119 Palo Pinto in downtown Weatherford.  Come join us for a most artful evening.
